I'm looking to build a pc for under $1500.

I need it to handle Cinema 4D, After Effects, and Primere Pro rendering and manipulation as well as gaming at highest settings on games like Gw2, Tera, Vindictus, Battlefield, as well as the future release of NA Black Desert.

I use my current pc at minimum of 8 hours a day as I use it for work and a majority of my free time.

If anything is an overkill please let me know as I've never built a pc before but I did as much research as I could.

I would suggest that 295x2 over the gtx 970. The new games are hitting 3gb vram these day. You will get a better performance on 295x2 without disabling or lowering pretty much anything at 1080p or 1440p. Even it will do 4k just fine.

I was also told a SSD would be wise to add in, but does the speed make a significant difference for the Creative Cloud program's load times, as well as tool selections, and of course map rendering for gaming? And if so how much GB would I need? GB for the program alone, or for the files created with those programs as well?

An SSD is useful mostly for installing the Windows OS on it. Other than that looks good. Keep the 970, the vram is not really an issue at 1080p (assuming your at 1080p). If you are not at 1080p, and are at 1440p or even 4k then go with the 980. Also, I would switch from the phanteks case to a Fractal R5, you don't need a full tower tbh and the R5 is a much better case, also, you don't have any storage so I'm assuming your using the one from your old pc, but I would buy another 2TB because video editing needs a metric shit ton of space. 16 gb of ram is great for video editing so your fine there. The i7 has that hyperthreading that is really going to come in handy while editing so good job on that. PSU is a very solid one and offers enough power for everything.

Overall, great build.

Alright I added it in, thanks!

Yea I only run at 1080p, and I switched my case to the Fractal R5, that thing was beautiful. I did up my HDD by another TB as well.

I'm also wondering if I need cooling in this system, anyone got any idea?

Hello! How did the build go? I am trying to build my own, but just for C4D so I'm curious to know if that CPU is doing you justice. I'm sure you realize what kind of decision the CPU can be. I've been researching for weeks just for the CPU haha.

If you're doing C4D definitely the 4790k it's got great capability for rendering.
