Just doing some upgrading on my PC as the parts are starting to get a bit outdated and wanted a final confirmation it will all be compatible.

Motherboard: ASRock z68m (old part)
CPU: Intel i5-2400 (Old part, open to upgrading if neccessary).
GPU: GeForce GTX 970 (current radeon HD 6660)
Memory: Ripjaws 8Gb (2x 4Gb) DDR3 ( currently 4gb something)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB (Currently no SSD, just 1TB HDD.)
Power: Enermax naXn 500W (current supply)

I've done the google research and it all appears to be compatible but I know nothing about computers really. Just a casual gamer.

Would love any suggestions or criticism on these parts before I drop the cash. Thanks.

Solution
everything is compatible, there is no reason to upgrade the z68 board or the i5. you need to upgrade your power supply though. enermax is a generic brand that makes crap. find something antec, seasonic, xfx, evga b2/g2/p2, rosewill capstone. otherwise your good.

That's great news. I knew my power supply was pretty average, it was just a quick and easy part bought from my local computer shop after my last one fried. Thanks for the help!

One more quick question though. Is 500W enough for the power supply? Is it just the brand letting me down there?

find something 550w or higher. antec makes a 520w high current gamer that would work. but all the quality units will be 550w or higher.
