so does the 1600mhz ram works on gigabyte ga-78-lmt usb3 mobo without any glitch????? I know it downclocks to 1333 mhz but does the ram works... I need a 100% accurate confirmation on this. Please help

Memory Clock
This option is configurable only when Set Memory Clock is set to Manual. Options are: X4.00, X5.33,
X6.66, X8.00

The above BIOS setting is from the Rev 5.0 motherboard manual. The correct setting for 1600MHz is X8.00.

You can then set the first four setting options in DRAM Timings starting with Cas Latency.

For example,
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10R
