Hello,

I created a new build.

I5-4440
AsRock Z87 Pro 3
Zotac NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti 1GB - http://www.flipkart.com/zotac-nvidia-gtx-650-ti-1gb-1-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdez49ptzu4g7e

Is this card compatible with my motherboard? If yes, when I put the graphics card in the slot the display no longer shows. However, if I remove the graphics card it correct prompts me for boot device.

I also tried this in different machine in my office. Is this card faulty or could be any other reason?

Thanks!

I want to check something, so when you put the card into your computer make sure its seated correctly and make sure its also connected to the powersupply. Then make sure that you monitor is connected to the graphics card and NOT the motherboard. Try these steps if you haven't yet.

If you tried the graphics card in another machine and it still didn't work then its probably the gpu, if it did work then it may be a faulty PCI-E slot on your Asrock MB. I don't think there is one but check and see if the gpu requires additional power from the psu (6-pin maybe?) although I doubt it does.

Yes it does require 6 pin. As soon as I put that pin the display won't show up.

If I don't put the additional connector it shows the display.

PSU is CX500

Please help.

Thats very unusual, its should be the other way around and that psu is more then enough power. Have you tried it in another computer and if so have you had the same issue?

This is fantastic. What would I do without you? I was connecting it to the motherboard which wast the issue.

I literally threatened the selling site as they were refusing to replace me the piece and wanted me to contact Zotac USA. Now I am relieved of that. Saved me good $. I would have kissed you if you were around.
