I have a 60 ssd drive that is much faster than my sata. I was thinking of putting win 7 on it and my programs on another drive because 60 isn't very big but ssd is fast. First can it be done and second if so, would it actually be faster or should I just stick with my current 500 gig sata for everything. I will be doing gaming on this pc. Thanks

Yes, the SSD will be faster.
But 60GB is right on the edge of what I consider 'too small'.

When people say "only the OS" it never ends up like that. Antivirus, browsers, etc, etc.

Christmastime I built a new Win 7 PC. After the OS, Windows updates, a small set of utilities (~1GB) and MS Office (~3GB)...it was 47GB used space.
Since you need to leave 10-15% free space on the SSD, that 47GB would be bumping right up against that.

You can do it, but it will be tight.
