Thanks SR-71 Blackbird for changes.

Is everything compatible (I'm like 95% sure it is), and what cable/parts like SSD rails for the case (if needed) would you recommend?

The case and hardware you have should fit nicely together. The only thing I see is the WD Green drive - this drive spins down, and it takes 3-5 seconds to spin back up (this is a green feature), so if it is going to be a primary data drive and/or a drive for gaming, you probably want to change it to a blue (budget) or black (high performance) drive from WD.

Thanks I was looking into it but I wasn't totally sure.
I'll have a look around to see which is the best to swap out for :D

The WD Green drives are excellent for backup drives. I have one in my main rig for backing up other devices on the network. Since it only runs once a day for about 10-15 minutes (differential backup), the spin up/down is only a "problem" once....the rest of the time I don't care if it spins down.

If you are gaming, and no activity for a certain amount of time, the drive spins down, and when it is needed, you have a 3-5 second delay during spin up. The WD green drives are also the only ones that are 5400RPM vs. 7200RPM for the Blue and Black drives.

The Red drives (used for RAID in NAS - not RAID in a server), the purple drives (designed for video surveillance) and the enterprise drives (used for server RAID) aren't really for public consumption.

I use the Blue as standard data drives, black for high speed drives and green for backup drives. If I build a NAS (rare), I use the red drives....and enterprise for servers.
