EDIT: Figured I'd re-do this since the other posts were more concise. Apologies!
My wife and I are avid Guild Wars 2 gamers (with other games on the side) and our current laptop is getting a bit rough around the edges (HP Pavilion dv6). We are considering buying a new computer, but our budget is kind of tight.

Approximate Purchase Date: Anytime between the time of this posting to February 29th

Budget Range: $300-$500 is the best possible range.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Guild Wars 2, YouTube, Minecraft, Skype/Teamspeak, general web browsing

Parts Not Required: (not sure what to answer this with)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I'm new to buying a computer (our current laptop was a gift years ago), so I suppose Amazon.

Country: United States

Parts Preferences: I'd prefer AMD as I have the most experience with it, but if something else handles Guild Wars 2 better I'm all ears. Laptop or desktop, doesn't matter, as long as it does what I want it to.

Overclocking: I've never done it, but it's nice to have the option if I need to use it. I'd prefer yes.

SLI or Crossfire: (I don't know what these are, my apologies!)

Monitor Resolution: Preferably anything around 1300x700 for laptops. 1500xX for monitors, though I can deal with a bit smaller/larger.

Additional Comments: I'd much prefer if the suggestions were on a desktop, but a laptop is fine as well. I do not want to build a computer, I'd rather buy a stock one, as I don't trust myself building anything at the moment. I'd be more than happy to order it if it's over a website, but I've only ever ordered things from Amazon. I also would prefer if Guild Wars 2 runs at least at 30-40FPS on medium settings. Lower is acceptable.

no laptop in that price range will be ideal for gw2. i would be happy to put together a desk top that would be able to more than handle what you need. To just buy one prebuilt will severely cut into the computers performance. do you need periphs/monitor and such?

I don't need any specific peripherals. I already have a wireless mouse that I use frequently. And I know there's probably not anything ideal for what I want, but it's the only budget I have as of now. Things may change in the distant future, but who's to say right now...

I'm not big on how the game looks, but I'd like to at least run it on medium settings at around 50FPS, maybe lower.
