Nvidia shield, playing my choice of game?

So I just want to get some clarification on this question regarding the nvidia shield tablet. My question is the following: will the nvidia be able to install my choice of games, not just the games supported by the tablet? Games like deponia, fez or different side scrollers?
And how do I install games, do i need to have them on steam? Because I have games like far cry 3 on cd only and not o steam/uplay. Thanks for the read //Robin

The Nvidia Shield Tablet can only play Android games from an install. It's basically a normal Android Tablet with a fast processor and custom Nvidia software for streaming.

In order to play Windows games, like the ones from Steam, you need to stream them from a PC. The PC does the processing, the Shield merely provides the screen and the controls in a mobile form.

Alternatively, the Nvidia GRID service provides a specific number of additional PC games, streamed from servers, not a PC.
