My hp mini 210 has one GB of ram and windows 7 starter just inst working well with it, so I decided to install lubuntu and have it as a dual boot system.
I used unetbooting to turn the downloaded iso into a bootable drive. I then rebooted my hp mini and went into the bios and set it to boot from the usb key then turned it off, then put the usb in and powered back on and my computer freezes at the HP logo and says press the esc key for startup menu at the bottom. Pressing esc does nothing as it is frozen and no matter how much time passes it does not move on from this freeze.
I expected the problem to be in the usb drive so I preceded to try installing lubuntu on another computer with the same usb drive, and it worked. I then tried 2 other distros' getting stuck at the hp logo during boot. I have tried resetting the bios by removing the cmos battery which did not work. I have tried every possible boot order combination in the bios and have gotten nowhere. I also preformed disk/memory/boot checks which had no errors
I have not found an answer to this problem after many long hours of searching the web any help would be greatly apriciated
