The Pentium will perform better, but some developers are such terrible useless hacks *cough* Ubisoft *cough* that they've started making games use Core 3 (instead of Core 0) as their main thread to deliberately break dual core CPUs.

So yeah. The Pentium is actually faster, but some developers suck so badly they're trying to ban dual cores from their games.

Then Ubisoft can brag about how their games are "too advanced to run on dual core processors", even though the i3-4130 ran Watchdogs (a game optimized for 8 cores) better than the FX-6300...

Among the pro's you have suggested, forget the A8 quad core advantage as the pentium even in its dual core guise will outperform the A8 in every real world scenario.
The only case the A8 would have recommendable was if you were sticking with integrated graphics since the A8 was somewhat ahead in this matter.
But since you have taken a discrete GPU, the Pentium wins hands down.
