I am looking for the best performance I can get, I need the overall price to be the lowest it can, including shipping, prefer free if possible, it would be shipping to Lakewood NY 14750, little to no rebates if possible, on a strict budget. Doesn't matter if it is an AMD or an Intel build, I just need the best "bang for the buck" for $550. I don't need a monitor, mouse, keyboard or OS, I have all that covered already, thanks for your help.

Although the 8320 may be better at rendering speeds. The 4440 would definitely not be too far behind it.

Get a decent OC on the 8320E and you should have a solid rig for the price.

Or if you wanted to go Intel:

It depends if the programs and plug ins you use will scale well from multiple cores. I know for a fact the i5 will be better in Photoshop in most cases, but in your video editing programs the FX will have the lead when it comes to rendering since it has superior multithreaded performance.

In gaming the i5 rig will be better in most cases due to superior single core performance.
