In arma 3 life I get around 20fps all the time meanwhile my cpu usage is around 40% and my gpu usage at 55%. I have a GTX 970 and an i7- 3770 I think I should be getting better fps than this.
right so you want the two 4gb sticks in the black slots (or the blue slots) just as long as they are both the same color. this allows dual channel doubling the bandwidth which should bring you to 1600. that should fix your problem. please try it and let me know how it works out.
eh? well how do you have 10 GB? RAM sticks come in 1, 2, 4, 8, etc (like binary counting). in order to have 10 you would need an 8 and a 2, two 4s and a 2, etc. the actual physical configuration. and what speed is it?

take out the 2, it's only hurting your performance. the two 4's should be configured in dual channel (need to know your motherboard as well), and hopefully they are higher speed. 8 GB should be more than enough for 1080p and the slower chip actually limits the other two. that would definitely explain why your rig can't perform.

Ok gonna try it in a bit
well, judging from the lack of update, i assume you have it working just fine, and are having fun right now
