Good CPU from playing arma 3 and BF4 and such

Solution
Get yourself an i5 4690k or an i5 4450 (if you are not going to overclock it). ArmA 3 is extremely CPU heavy and depends heavily on single core performance.

We all know that AMD lacks in single core performance compared to Intel, but AMD has more cores. But the cores are useless in gaming as the game only uses 1-2 cores.

PSU? CPU? Budget?

Initial thoughts, you're probably need a new GPU before a new CPU. The 640 GT is going to struggle to start BF4 let alone play it.

Edit: Also, AMD CPUs are out because of the motherboard. You're looking at an Intel Ivy Bridge CPU.
