Hi everyone.

My Ethernet port stopped working all of a sudden yesterday after around 5-6 months of using my new build. Tried re-installing the drivers, checking the cabling and router etc. Everything seemed fine so I assumed the onboard adapter got fried.

Since I opened it up and everything (I haven't done it in a month or two) I went ahead and cleaned the PC while I was at it. After getting everything done and plugging it back, voila! It worked. Why and how?

Now I'm not sure if I should test this further or RMA my mobo since it's still under warranty.
What do you guys think?

Simpliest answer: Take all the dust, dirt and crud and inhale it into your lungs.. do you work as 'well' or do you 'break down' so we should RMA you?

Same thing for the computer, all that dust, dirt, crud is unhealthy for the PC, if you have a HIGH grime area (smoking, animals, etc.) then you need to often to clean it out. ANY PC PURCHASED READ THE ENCLOSED WORDS SAYS: DO NOT smoke, eat, etc. around the computer, keep away from high dust / dirt areas (people have their computer int he same room they do wood working in!) and so on.
