I'm curious if optical burner drives are only capable of ripping media, or if plain 'ol optical readers are able to rip data. My goal here is to simply rip Blu-Ray movies onto my personal home theater server and not make copies. I've always been under the impression that optical burners were only able to rip media and not strictly read-only drives. Thanks for reading and have a good day!
