Hey guys

Quick question - looking for a case for my fx6300 build. The contenders are the Corsair 750d, Corsair vengeance c70 and the NZXT H440.

Im interested is air cooling than water cooling.

If anyone knows a better case within the price range please give us a shout

Thanks

All depends on what your looking to spend and if you prefer air or liquid.

Air -- Cooler Master V8GTS is very nice, Phanteks U-Type Dual, Cooler Master Hyper 212

Liquid -- Corsair H100i, H110i, Cooler Master Sedion 240, Swiftech H220x

That's just a few

I use newegg.com, ncix.com, amazon.com, tigerdirect.com, frys.com (and store), frozencpu.com (liquid items), cyberguys.com, and some wholesale sites (you need a T.I.N for some purchases with these sites though)

Bump again on the 212...

I have the V8 on one of my setups (my air cooled) and it is very nice. Yes it is very LARGE, but it looks really good with the selection of colors and it does cool nicely. For the money is it worth it... NO... With the cooling you get with the 212 or Noctua fan based cooling it makes no sense for the V8, but again it does look nice.

As for the liquid battle, it is all a case of the what-if's. For $20 more than the V8, you can get into some great CLC's on the market and for a little more you can have the best CLC's on the market, it's a matter of choice if you want to go CLC, for most not needed unless you want the "Cool Factor", but if set up correctly they do drop temps better then air, but unless you know how to change a CLC to adapt to your system, then moving to a CLC does not mean that much more than aesthetics.

BUT, if your willing to take the jump, liquid will cool better then air, question always is price...

The H100i is not really that much louder then a full 5-7 variable fan system, if you use a static say 1500-1700rpm fan setup yeah it's possible unless you have mesh sides. The fans in the H100i are 2700 rpm fans, so the average case fan is not that speed, it has to be faster to push the air through the coils.

If you add 1 Delta to a case and set it at say 2900rpm then you would be about even with sound.

If the person has there case on their desk or on their side near the legs... And then yes you will hear the pump and fan, now in myair case I have 11 case fans not including my GPU (R9290X) or my CPU fan and if I turn them up, it's pretty freaking loud, it's also under my desk and 2ft away from me.

Now on the flip side in my other case I have a Swiftech H220x and it is quiet as a frogs-ass is tight. So I will debunk the damn "loud" myth right now... On the other hand if you have very little sound then yes, you'll hear it...

Now with a custom loop, yeah it can be hella loud depending on the pumps and fans...
