Looking for a solution for the tool cursor to properly represent the selected tool. Is it a windows 7 driver or Photo Shop? The cursor consist of three (3) pointing hands about 3/4 of an inch wide, rather than the proper tool cursor that has been selected. It's difficult to be precise in finding the point within the project to click upon. It's like a 3/4 inch cursor rather than a bulls eye or cross hairs.

The same installed Photo Shop program works fine on another XP computer, so it may be something unique to this windows 7 or Asus system. It's funny that I only see this problem within Photo Shop (old version 6 and newer version 9) program. I use photo shop "Image Ready" a companion program to Photo Shop and the cursors are displayed normally. I hope someone can help, I'm baffled.

This:

Normally when you use a tool in Photoshop your cursor takes on the appearance of that tool. If you would like a exact method of working, try pressing the caps lock key on the keyboard. This will give you a cross hair tool which is much easier to use.And if you find your cursor inexplicably changes from brush shape to cross hairs or vice versa, it means you probably accidentaly tapped the caps lock

key.

Or, in photoshop options there is the option to use "precise cursors" on the Edit>Preferences>Cursors menu. It looks like this:
