PC would boot, replaced a bad cmos battery and still won't boot.

Nothing on screen, PC won't turn off, have to unplug it. Repair CD won't load. Win 7 on a gigabyte board 8-10 years old homebuilt.
 
Post your full pc specs so we can better understand what we're dealing with.

Make sure to set your DVD drive as the first boot device in BIOS.

Did you use some software like UltraISO or Nero to burn that repair cd?

Does the POST screen appear at least or not even that?
