Should i use Over Provisioning on my Samsung 840 pro if its not running the OS?

as it says,i have a 128 gig samsung 850 pro running the OS(win7)I just installed a 250 gig Samsung 840 pro in case i want to add some games and run it on that since the 850 pro doesnt have much storage.Do i need to use the over provisioning on it since its not running the OS?Would this help it in any way? Or is it not needed?

For boot drives and drives with speed sensitive data, I set the OP between 10-12%. For storage drives where longer maintenence and garbage collection times don't make a difference, I usually set the OP to 7%. It's always good for the drive to have some OP for maintenence and wear leveling work.
Samsung recommends it, but it depends on how full you intend to load it. If you're only using half the capacity at any given time, it probably won't make any difference. If you're going to go over,say, 75 %, it might be a good idea to maintain performance.
