Hello. I have the Cisco® Model DPC3939 DOCSIS 3.0 16x4 Wireless Residential Voice Gateway. Because it doesn't reach with great strength into the room where I have my original xbox 360, I have purchased an extender. I bought the NETGEAR WIFI Range Extender WN2000RPT. The signal strength is very strong now, but my xbox 360 will connect to the network but fails trying to connect to the internet. I've been at this for weeks now, and have not been able to get past this issue. Can anyone provide some help? Because my 360 did not come with wireless, I am using a wireless adapter that has always worked in the past and that seems to still be working since it finds my wireless network right away. Thank you!

Try having the xboxclose to the router and not the extender, if same problem exists try going with ethernet'also if you are still having problems try port forwarding on your router for the xbox live, also check if all the other devices that you have are working smoothly when they are connected to the extender

@yimmi: Thank you. I can't get the Xbox any closer to the router. I do, however, have the xbox connected directly to the Extender via an Ethernet cable. I also, yesterday, opened up a whole bunch of ports on my router -- 88, 80, 3074, 53 and others. Yet, it still doesn't work. Is it possible to open up ports on the extender, if there is such a thing? I'm honestly at a loss. My PC is working fine on the extender. Any other ideas?

Well can you get me a screenshot on what mode are you running the extender? If you plug in the ethernet cable to your laptop does it still work and get connected to internet?Try the wired setup as your xbox with other devices.
