Hi all, I have this hardware:

CPU: AMD A10-7700K (Kaveri)

MOBO: A88XM-E45 version V25.0 (11/21/2013)

RAM: 2x2GB Corsair Ddr3 1333Mhz 2Gb 240 Dimm

SO: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

When I put both the RAM (2 sticks of 2GB each for dual channel) after a while I have bsod (sometimes there is the word "memory", sometimes "clock") or Pc freezes and I have to reboot it.

But when I use only 1 stick of RAM it works without blocks for hours, but of course it is very slow (Windows 7 64bit but only 2GB is unusable for me...).

I would like to know:

- I need upgrade Bios? from 25.0 to 25.6 (the latest version on MSI site)? Is it safe or I might break the entire computer?
If something goes wrong, I can re-put version 25.0? Or the motherboard has a protection system?

- Now on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in System I look total memory: 4GB but usable only 1,67GB.
Sometimes PC shows 4GB in total and 3,44GB usable, but after always it freezes or bsod...

Could you advise me?
Thank you very much (sorry for my English)

The standard supported memory for AMD A10-7770K is DDR3-2133MHz. I would recommend that you replace the 1333MHz memory.

You will still need to set the clock speed and DRAM Timings in the BIOS. The manual doesn't provide much detail.
MEMORY-Z
Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu. This sub-menu displays all the settings and
timings of installed memory. You can also access this information menu at any time
by pressing [F5].

Thank you Calvin!
This RAM is ok for my APU and Motherboard?

G-SKILL Memory PC ARES 2 x 4 GB DDR3-2133 - PC3-17000 - CL9 (F3-2133C9D-8GAB)

On memory support list of motherboard there isn't this RAM :( http://www.msi.com/support/mb/A88XM-E45.html#support-ocmem

I have to overclock something?

Thank you

Hi, I update the thread, so:

- AMD A10-7700K Radeon R7, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G APU - 3.40ghz (34x100.00 mhz)

- A88XM-E45 version V25.6 (E7721AMS), the latest BIOS version on msi website

- I bought new RAM -> G-SKILL Memory PC ARES 2 x 4 GB DDR3-2133 - PC3-17000 - CL9 (F3-2133C9D-8GAB). It's a kit for dual channel.

- Current DRAM frequency 1600 mhz

- Installed in black slots (2/4)

With these RAM I have less problems but always something doesn't work..

Just installed (RAM arrived Friday) my PC detected always and only 4GB in BIOS instead of 8GB. In windows 7 64bit there were 8gb total but only 3.46gb usable. In CPU-Z memory was in single.

Then I removed battery for 4-5 minutes and BIOS reset (I have changed date and hour).

In this way finally in BIOS I had 8 gb! Windows 7 tells 8gb in total and 6.96gb usable, in CPU-Z dual channel.

I thought had finally solved the question..and instead after 1-2 hours BSOD..

Error BSOD often change, sometimes is about "win32k.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA", or the last error was:

Other times instead I haven't BSOD but PC freezes, I have colourful lines and I have to reboot PC because all is stuck..

I thought to a problem of Windows 7 and drivers (with BIOS Update I have reinstalled the latest drivers from MSI website but maybe I have done some mess, so I'm trying to install Ubuntu). And also audio in frontal panel doesn't work more, I have to put headphones behind the computer.

But the thing very odd is that sometimes in BIOS I see again only 4GB!! Almost always after BSOD: BSOD, reboot, 4GB in BIOS. I turn off the computer for 3-4 minutes and again I can see 8GB.. o_O

And if I play to games (for example The Sims 4), temp of CPU arrives to 74°C! (from AIDA64).

I don't know more what's the problem...I try to clean fan of CPU now..
