I have a wireless desktop computer that has a wire connection. Now that I finally had a router installed can I disconnect the wire?

Solution
Right click on the connection icon on the taskbar notification area, and select Network and Sharing Center... If the wireless connections is running; Click "View Status" if necessary and see if it says Enabled and the clock is running.. if it's all good, you can disconnect the Ethernet Cable.. and if the there is no wireless connection or it's not active, you have to make sure it's up and running before you can disconnect the Ethernet Cable.

From windows Vista onwards the connections is done automatically so it's likely it's all been done but you may have to input a connection name and password before if can be setup and ready to use.
