hey I need a little help with some suggestions in upgrading my gaming pc as its getting to that age I want to start out saying my budget is around 1000 and I play on 3 screens (surround gaming) im open to any kind of suggestions to maximize gaming performance these are my current specs....

cpu = Intel Core i7 2600k sandy bridge @3.4 ghz
motherboard = Asus Sabertooth p67 socket lga 1155
memory= 16gb Kingston ddr3 (max bandwidth pc3-10700 667 MHz)
graphics = dual NVidia geforce gtx 560 ti (1gb each)
hard drive = intel ssd 520 240gb
power supply = ultra x4 750w

where my confusion really lies is should I upgrade the motherboard for pcie 3.0 and the graphics card or will it perform fine and doesn't require a motherboard upgrade and just get a couple graphics cards or will the cpu bottleneck the performance so many variables I don't understand that why im asking for help any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Solution
Get a a new PSU and get Crossfired R9 290s. You should also get a CPU cooler as your CPU is a fantastic overclocker that will easily handle the 290s. The 290s are better than the 970s as they will have more VRAM that will help you for surround gaming. Everything else you have is great
