just ordered an H60, first time watercooling and i'm hoping to get my 920 to 4.1 GHz. right now im on stock air cooler at 3.5 with turbo from 2.66 and prime temps are mid 70's, 40 at idle. is this going to be achievable and have safe temps?
alright thanks for the clarification. well hopefully i can get a bit more out of it so i just didn't throw $35 down the toilet.
That cooler is $35 for a reason. A Hyper 212 EVO would have served you better. Even that is a little weak. I would try to get a decent air cooler with a 140 mm fan.

First of all. An H60 isn't "watercooling". It is a AIO closed loop system. Watercooling is custom loops with reservoirs and real radiators, pumps and waterblocks. On to your question. The H60 is a toy that will not do a good job with your i7 920. It will have problems dissipating the heat. That cpu produces almost as much heat as an FX cpu.
