Hi,

My custom built desktop blue screened a few months ago after running relatively strong for 3 years. I couldn't get windows to boot without it blue screening again--the boot drive was my SSD, with the data on the HDD--so I recently decided to install windows on my HDD and just boot from that (the weird thing is, when I open the file folder for the SDD, everything's still intact, I just can't boot from it).

Now, when I start the computer up everything seems to be fine, except that I noticed the screen doesn't detect a resolution beyond 1400x1050 (monitor's 1080p) and my computer doesn't recognize a graphics card being plugged in at all.

However, the monitor is still connected to the graphics card. So it clearly still works.

On a possibly related note, my computer doesn't seem to be able to recognize that the ethernet cable is connected, since it can't get on the internet.

What's the deal? Is there some sort of driver I need to install from a disk (it's been 3 years, I forget what this process was)? Should I try another PCI slot?
