does Appel make hardware

Solution
I don't think Apple makes *any* hardware. They customized the ARM processor design for their phone and tablet CPUs, but it's Samsung who manufactures it for them. The iPhones are made by Foxconn using parts sourced from common vendors like Samsung, LG, Toshiba, etc. Probably the iPad too. The Macbooks are designed and made by Quanta, who also makes laptops for HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc. I suspect this is why they didn't sue HP and Dell for "copying" the Macbook like they went after Samsung - it was probably Quanta who designed all those laptops. If you ever open one up, they're just like any other laptop with parts sourced from the common vendors.

Apple uses the same companies components that other companies use. Solandri Apple does design their laptop but they don't manufacture them at least yet. Supposedly they are going to in the future. Apple uses intel processors with Intel Integrated graphics in most machines. Their high end laptop uses a Nvidia graphics card. They use some of the same drives of laptop companies use. One thing Apple has been using thunderbolt ports while the Windows PC have not moved as fast. They weren't even fast with USB 3.0.

Yes i know Thunderbolt is developed by Intel and made by Intel. I didn't say Apple made it I said they been using this technology for awhile. They were the first to use it. Just like USB isn't Dell or HP but Dell and HP choose to use it. There have been a couple of Windows machines with Thunderbolts ports. Esata is another port used. Alienware's first 18.4" screen laptop came with ESATA but the Alienware 18 doesn't have one. SO even have 2 USB 2 and 2 USB 3 ports. Almost every component in a laptop is made by a 3rd party company MSI and Asus do make motherboards but those companies don't allways use their own motherboards in their products
