the filename changed to some other name, some with special character, unable to read file

The filename on my portable HDD changed to some other name with special character. I'm unable to open and read any of these files. Please advise

Hey there, leongfc!

I suspect it became RAW which is rather unfortunate. I'd suggest to plug the drive in another computer and see how it will get recognized there. Hopefully you will be able to read something off of it. If there is no change, I think you should check out these threads for suggestions on how to retrieve your files:
