Hi i have bought asus xonar DG sound card . Iam using Intel DH61HO Mother board. The soud card requires pci 2.2 or higher compatible slot but my mother board doesnot have slot for audio card. hoe can i now fix the problem. If there any adapters can be use mention the full details for me.

Solution
As I have already said, the adapter raises the slot by about one inch which means the ASUS Xonar DG card cannot be used (it will sit too high in the chassis so you won't be able to screw the card's backplate down).

So If you use an adapter you will also have to buy a different sound card -- and it must be a half height sound card.

Or you can buy a PCI-Express sound card then you won't need an adapter because your motherboard has PCI-Express slots.

I don't know what more I can say to make it any clearer to you!
Your Intel motherboard has no legacy PCI slots, and a PCI card won't work in a PCI-Express slot without an adapter like this:

However, using such an adapter makes the new slot sit about an inch higher than the motherboard slot, which means only half-height cards can be used with it. Since the Asus Xonar DG is not a half-height card, an adapter isn't going to help with that sound card.

But If you buy the adapter plus a half-height PCI sound card you are good to go.

Or a simpler solution is to swap your PCI sound card for a PCI-Express one so it'll fit straight into one of the two PCI-Express x1 slots that your Intel board has.
