When trying to establish a router connection between my Actiontec Verizon Router and a Netgear one, I followed instructions given by this FAQ on Verizon's page about repeaters. I follow the steps, except when I have to disable DHCP server on my repeater, I get a message from my router saying

"Please change your computer's IP address manually if LAN IP subnet will be changed."

My computer and router don't have the same ip, i don't understand. I even ued the comand

"ipconfig/renew" and that stuff but I still get the message

HERE IS THE ARTICLE => http://www.dslreports.com/faq/verizonfios/3.0_Networking#12506

The message happens at step 9

in windows, unless you manually set the IP, right click on the connection icon and select troubleshoot.
that should fix it

problem you have is your pc is sitting in the wrong range group. like calling the wrong area code.

Can you almost walk me through the process? Because my internet connection is fine, Troubleshooter doesn't think there is any problem
