Hi guys how are you? Had my 3 years old HDD Samsung HD502H1 500gb in a box forgotten in my bedroom, yesterday I build an entire new pc and I decided to give it a try putting this disk as a unique and main disk of my new rig. The problems were the following, first of all (with the HDD connected, and detected by BIOS) , windows 7 and windows 8 installation get stucked into a loading loop forever... (the wheel spinning forever), I removed the HDD and restart the installation, and all worked normally. Ok I connected the HDD with my USB Case to my macbook and use disk utility to explore all partitions, I saw four.... 2 strange partitions, both very tiny and my NTFS C: (Primary) and E: (BackUp) I removed the 2 strange partitions and C: Primary too, leaving only my backup partition.... after that my new pc, wasnt able to detect my HDD anymore (BIOS detection)!!! also the macbook was unable to mount the disk as a drive to access the Data!!! It detects the HDD Physically but cant access the partitions to explore it, after that I re boot my mac into windows 7 and test again the HDD via USB.... ok Windows knows there is a device connected but doesnt know what it is.... some tools like HDD Regenerator detected it, but when I tryed to repair bad sectors took like 12 hours to get around of 1000 delays and 0 errors in 1%!!! saying "Connect as internal" (as my bios couldnt detect the harddrive, i cannot test it via internal) I repaired the MBR using some tools, but cant format it, or it says format complete, but cant see partitions or you see a I: Hard Drive in Windows explorer, and when you try to access it, it says the partition needs to be formated, and when windows try to format itself, explorer get stuck and blablablabla Im tired of this :( sorry for my long explanation, Im here about 18 hours since I started to try to fix this crap hahah :( please if you have any idea or just a new tool to recommend would be awsome :D
