Okay guys, I have this guy on kijiji who is selling his desktop to me, its a gaming pc.
I have a deal with him for $430 CAD Cash. I got all the info of the desktop and put it on PC PArt Picker to see the value of the desktop.

So as of Pc Part Picker, the computer is worth $528. He is selling his for 430$ CAD.

Now my question is, am i better of building my own PC for $430 budget CAD, or should i buy his gaming pc??

Please help!!!!

Actually, the i3 is better than the pentium. Try to buy the cpu, mobo, case, and/or ram, and then sav up, and buy a 270/x for example with a QUAlITY psu.

since it's a private sale, there's no shipping and certainly no tax, so it is cheaper than building it yourself. the question is what are you going to use it for. basic everyday use? light games? heavy games? movies? photo / video editing?

on the flip side, if you have time, you can watch for sales & rebates and pick stuff in pieces, and maybe end up with something better for not much more money. especially if you have a case and power supply somewhere around the house that you can reuse.

If I were you I would Buy your own, the build I would recommend this build if you don't have a lot to spend : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/v3Xtqs I know it's a little more than $430 but It good for starting out, if you can stretch a bit I would go with a 270.

Yeah the i3 is better but the pentium saves a lot of money and when playing games you will barely notice the difference in what CPU you have.
