Okay, so I would like some help with this if possible. I turned off Cool n Quiet in my BIOS, because it has given me problems in the past with performance (my motherboard is new, got it a week ago.) I also switched AMD turbo mode from being "Enabled by CPU" to "Always Enabled." However, some bad things happened.
First, my computer started to randomly freeze, never during video games, but almost always when watching Youtube videos. It didn't bluescreen, though sometimes it would unfreeze after a few seconds/minutes, and sometimes I had to hard reboot my computer.
So I upped the voltage very slightly, by one unit which is like .00675 volts or something. This does seem to have fixed the freezing problem. However, now every time I boot my computer, it says "Overclock Failed! Press F1 to enter setup" which of course takes me to my bios. However, I leave all the settings the same, leave the BIOS, and run my computer as normal.
It still concerns me though, that raising the voltage that tiny amount alone caused my motherboard to send my error messages. To be honest, this motherboard has been nothing but trouble though.
Anyways, can anyone tell me how to prevent my motherboard from saying my overclock has failed? Because my system is seemingly more stable, and at any rate Im running at like 1.44 volts to the CPU, which isn't all that much.
Here are my specs:
MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth 990fx r2.0
CPU: AMD FX-9370
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
PSU: 700 Watts
Thank you for your help.
