I recommend going with Intel. I have nothing against AMD, but with this build you can upgrade to an i5 or i7 and be able to overclock as well. The i3 with a 750 ti will let you game in 1080 with high to ultra setting in most games with no problem.

I would say get the pentium I know that there might be the odd game coming out in the near future that might not run but you get much better upgradabilty in the future as well as it being cheaper as well.

But for just 40 more bucks, you don't have to worry about that. My build is something I was planning, except for with a 960. The i3 is a beast little chip for a 100 bucks.

The 280 is better for the money unless you use the nvidia drivers a lot and like really good power effecientcy.

I somehow dont think this guy is going to be a big overclocker and you really would need to to get your moneys worth out of that board(it is an awesome board no denying though) and also it is going to much over budget as it needs to include windows as well.
