480w atx psu
asus a55bm-e w/ amd a8-5600k
8gb (2x4) 1600mhz corsair ram
500gb samsung hdd
nvidia gtx 750 ti
2x cooler master 120mm fans @2000rpm
1x cooler master 80mm fan @3000rpm
stock heatsink

I am having lagging/freezing issues in game only im thinking its due to my overheating cpu(65-70c under load) not under load it runs at about 40c.
ive underclocked my graphics card and have the fans running on max rpm still having issues
would a new better heatsink solve my issues(hyper 212)?

or someone mentioned to me that my previous amd gpu drivers could be interfering with the
nvidia divers..how would i go about removing all previous drivers (already uninstalled amd catalyst and disabled on board graphics in device manager)

In which game(s) are you experiencing the lagging and freezing. Your temps are fine 65-70c under load is good. Underclocking your GPU certainly isn't going to help. My guess is that your processor/gpu combo can't handle the games at the settings you are trying to run.

cs:go medium/low settings 1680x1050
H1z1 low settings "

I was running it fine with the apu(lower frames obviously) which is equivalent to a radeon hd 7560d
then i upgraded to the gtx and thats when the problem started happening..and it usually only happens after maybe 30 mins of play

This is interesting, and leads me to believe that there is a settings or driver issue somewhere that is causing the problem. I do not believe the problem is heat related as the APU should be running cooler now that it is not also using it's dedicated graphics and the 750ti sips power and should not have overheating problems.

The easiest way to fix the problem in my opinion would be to do a clean install of your operating system. I would do so with the 750ti installed and hooked up to your monitor so that your computer is running in the proper configuration from the get go. You may want to go into your bios and see if your computer is set to run your the graphics on your APU as well as through your 750ti, that could be causing the problem.
