Hey guys, I have MSI GE60 0ND-453TR. It has started to boot up and load apps slowly and I have decided to buy an SSD for the programs and the OS. But I was wondering the procedure to be done in order to move the OS (programs doesn't matter I can install them later on). In some threads I have seen somethings related to product keys but under my laptop or anywhere else there isn't any product key. When I put the SSD inside my laptop for the first time what should I do to install Windows on the SSD? And inside "My computer" it shows my 750 GB HDD as two seperate ones named OS_Install (C:) and Data (D:). I don't have any discs for installing Windows too. Thanks.

Hey there, cyberty500!

Digitaldoc is right. It's much better to download your OS version and install it, then using the pre-installed OS product key to activate it. (The operating system communicates with the motherboard, not the drive.)
Cloning is the second best thing for those who have lost their original installations and product keys. The downside of cloning is that it also copies all the redundant files from your old installation which might cause you issues later on.
If you encounter any issues with the activation, you should contact MS support and activate over the phone. However, as long as you are using the same laptop, I believe it won't come to that. :)

Good luck!
