Hi, have an out of warrantee laptop that I haven't booted in a while, had 8 on it, updated to 8.1p, did not come with disk.
It now says can't activate Windows right now.
Error 0xC004F012 "software license service call failed because value for input key not found".
An existing product key shows as xxx plus last 5 characters.
It seems to indicate network connections OK (bars for WiFI, wired)
FYI; I can access BIOS by loading via f2.
Suggestions as to how to bring this to life?
