CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core = $233

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing = $25.98

Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE ATX LGA1150 = $99

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600= $69.98

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM= $54.99

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0= $334.99

Case: Corsair Graphite Series 230T Grey ATX Mid Tower= $77.99

Power Supply: XFX 550W ATX12V= $53.98

Optical Drive: Samsung SH-118BB DVD/CD Drive= $19.99

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) [I already have a new unused copy of this at home]

Total: $969.90

Any Suggestions to tweak this? or is it fine for my budget.

other info:
- I have a 1920x1080p 24" ASUS monitor so i plan on playing games in that resolution.

- also would like to play future games like witcher 3 at high settings (doesn't need to be ultra just needs a decent/good fps rate)

you seem to be missing a CPU.

going from your total cost, which doesn't add up , I would guess you have a i5-4690K?

In that case, I don't really have many suggestions for you. You could put in a small SSD for faster boot time, but that's it

more technically, it has 3.5GB of high speed VRAM and .5 GB of lower speed VRAM for a total of 4GB VRAM
