Hi I am building my first pc in about 5 minutes and I wanted to know if touching the case is enough to remove static?

I have the corsair 200r and when I took it off the package I got shocked after it was out I touched it and it felt normal, now I'm kinda scared touching the motherboard because I'm afraid of getting shocked and breaking it or something

Solution
Generally you're fine if you touch the case or other large metal object and ground yourself before starting a build.
There should be a few caveats to that advice though.
Don't wear your most static inducing clothing.
Don't assemble on a carpeted surface.
If you're super freaked out, take your socks off and keep your feet in contact with something metal (a heat register works well if there's one under the table you're working on).
