Completed my new build last night -

& now its shows my video card, along with a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" that i apparently need a driver for.

Even GPU-Z shows the GTX 980 & a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter as a drop down option like im SLI.

Why do i have a feeling this isnt right? Everytime I've checked a video card it never showed both.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

If your monitor is hooked to your GPU and it's working, you can right click on the standard vga and select disable or uninstall. If your monitor is hooked to the mobo I/O, select disable, then boot to BIOS and make sure your GPU is selected in the Graphics section, then save and exit to OS boot. The fact that it's showing doesn't necessarily mean it's in use.

Yes my monitor is hooked up via GPU & working properly. When i uninstall the VGA adapter, it gets removed from my device manager, but windows just attempts to redownload the driver & it comes back.
