Here are the specs to the PC: 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-4460 processor (Features a 6MB cache and 3.2GHz processor speed with Turbo Boost up to 3.4GHz.), 12GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM, 2TB Serial ATA hard drive (7200 rpm), NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 graphics
Feature up to 4GB dedicated video memory for lush visuals. An HDMI output and VGA interface enable flexible connectivity, Built-in high-speed wireless LAN (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.0 interface. Sorry, I am really good at using computers... but the hardware stuff is out of my league. How fast do you think it will render 5 min 1080p MPEG-4 5 min long videos? Thanks :D

It would be nice to have a better graphics card. but honestly for the price that thing is pretty solid.

Heres what i came up with for only 800.

If you're into some serious editing. You're going to want a PC with an intel i7.

Is this a pre-built computer? You can easily build your own for cheaper and with better specs.

I'm not saying it won't do the job... but render times will take a hit with that i5

I was also considering this PC, here are the specs: AMD 8-Core FX-8320 Vishera Processor with AMD Radeon R7 250 dedicated graphics, 16GB DDR3 SDRAM, 8MB L2 cache memory, 2TB Serial ATA III hard drive (7200 rpm), AMD Radeon R7 250 graphics
Feature 2GB dedicated video memory. And if I were going to build my own custom PC, where would I start? And my budget is 850 dollars.

The better graphics card will for sure help with render times as the "hardware acceleration" is good on this card. I would for sure build my own before buying store made builds. And just keep in mind with your own custom PC. You can swap out parts in only a few minutes anytime you want to upgrade something. You can always add more ram to this thing (up to 32GB).

Edit: ALSO. This processor is unlock and can be overclocked for a bit of extra performance (less render time). Unlike intel build. And if you start overclocking (if even possible on the mobo on the best buy build.) it voids your warranty.

Thanks so much!!! I think I am going to give it a go. And is there a video that teaches you how to put all of this together?

Nah, any 1080p monitor will do fine.

First time... probably like 3 hours for the whole thing. It's a learning process but believe me.. It's easy, especially with all the videos out these days.

Just take your time building it. Follow instructions, try to do the best cable management you can, And you'll be fine! :)

Thanks man. You've been more than helpful! I can't thank you enough. May I ask... What exactly do you use your PC for? Gaming, editing, surfing the web?

You can drop your harddrive to a 1tb or 1.5tb. Choose a cheaper case.
Honestly i wouldn't touch anything else. This is the best bang for buck you're going to get in your price-range. Anything being lowered is just going to hurt your performance.
It's worth waiting a little longer and save up for this than cheap out now.
