1333 CL8 vs 1600 CL11

My ram 2*2 gb=4gb 1333 CL8 went bad and i need to get new/upgrade to 8 gb. on Crucial it recommends 2*4gb 1600 cl11. what will be the difference between CL8 & CL11 i have heard it means timing but what will be the effect. I use photoshop and other heavy apps.
you help is appreciated.

The difference is very minute. Whichever is of lower cost that'd be the i'd go with. If the price difference b/w 1333 and 1600MHz is very low then you'd be better off with 1600.
