I'm running an ROG Asus Maximus V Formula motherboard with Corsair Vengeance [LP] 16GB (4X4GB) Dual/Quad Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CML16GX3M4A1600C9B).

Going on for more than a year now, my computer has only been reading 8GB of my installed 16GB.

I've tried unsuccessfully multiple times to fix this and am sick and tired of it not working. Help would be greatly appreciated at this point.

I just tried all six ways of having 8GB (2x4) and all six ways showed 8GB.

Cant believe someone didnt ask this... You do know that depending on the version of windows you are using, there are RAM limits right?

If you are using windows 7 home basic, the RAM limit is 8GB

EDIT: Scratch that, was answered on the post just above mine.

Reviving thread.... I got exactly the same problem, with the same motherboard!
Bios says 8192MB
Windows 7 Professional says 8192GB

CPU-Z says 16 GB

Everything used to run normally with 16GB, until one day I just noticed my pc was using only half of it.

I tested every memory bank independantly on every memory slot on my motherboard. I tried updating the BIOS to the lastest version, no result.
Memory limit on msconfig is set to default (no limit)

I don't know what else to try.
