I put this power supply in just now and my computer won't turn on. No matter what combination or wires I try nothing works. Any ideas why?

Solution
Phew. It is an old AT/LPX standard, you cannot use an ATX power supply with it directly, unless you get an adapter from 24 pin ATX to 12 pin AT (it is not 14 pin, mind you). Either that, or you will need to get a replacement PSU from the original manufacturer by contacting support. That's one of the reasons pre-built systems can be a headache. Many strange design decisions.

Ok, I'll replace it with something else. But would the fact that it supports Intel i7 and 5 like it says on the box And my computer has an i3 processor have something to do with it? Also the connectors it comes with has more pins than the original power supply. 20+4 instead of 14

No, nothing to do with it.

All mothern PSUs have 24 pins. How many pins does your motherboard have? What model is it exactly after all?
