Tier Five - Replace immediately. These units are NOT recommended for any system, no matter the purpose. Reference to higher tiered models for a better and potentially money-saving unit .
So you should replace it, 550w is fine in most cases

That's an absolutely horrible PSU. Go buy a lottery ticket, you are lucky it has managed to last 3 years without blowing up. I wound,t continue gambling especially when installing ewer parts as that PSU is capable of damaging other components in the system. For a GPU the r9 290 is the best in your price range and for that you are going to want a good quality 600w or larger unit.
