I've been upgrading a gaming pc I bought piece by piece and currently my ASUS P6X58D-E mobo has 12 gb of ram, a gtx 980 for my gpu and a first gen i7... I'm just wondering if an i7 4790k is compatible with this specific motherboard. It's my very first attempt at building a pc as well at my first ever attempt at pc gaming which is what this computer is to be used for.. so sorry if the question seems stupid :/
