Was wondering if around 4.0ghz is a safe overlock for a 3570k. My cpu is water cooled by a corsair h100i so heat shouldnt be an issue?

I also have an ASrock Z77 extreme 4 motherboard.

Anyone have any recommended guides for this process as well? This is my first time overclocking.

clock speed is never a concern any clocks you can get are safe, the issue is voltage and heat, though mostly voltage to much vill kill your chip, excess heat will start degrading it, combined they will degrade or kill your chip, id say up to 1.4v as long as thermals are under control shouldn't be an issue, as for guides overclock.net will have you covered there
