Boot issues I've been having.

I'm posting this again because last time I got no responses, just people who have read it. I figure by now its been buried so I need to repost it just to get someone to read it.

So I have an Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard. Of course it has a handy QR code that tells you what is going on as it boots. Well my pc boots erratically, meaning that sometimes it will boot quite fast as it should (SSD). Sometimes it boots slowly but eventually gets there. Other times it will just sit at a black screen. I am going to try and describe this scenario as best as possible.

I hit the power button, my fans turn on. My monitor is on as well. The only thing is that it says no input (connected to my GPU). Well when this happens I just sit at a black screen forever. I have to hit the power button again and hope the next time it boots. I don't know what exactly is going on because it always says no input. Whenever this happens I've also watched the QR codes to see what comes up. Every time this happens I always get the same three codes which are, 94- PCI Bus Enumeration, 96- PCI Bus Assign Resources, AE- Legacy Boot Event.

I've been trying to figure out if its maybe my GPU. This is some extra information, may not be relevant as well but is another issue I'm having. So this computer was meant for gaming as you can see from my specs. Ever since I've gotten it I can barely play games. At first I thought it was a driver issue and once I stopped using GeForce Experience my problems seemed to go away. Then about a week later I all the sudden couldn't play games again. I re install my driver(344.75), restart and everything works again. I put my pc to sleep that night and the next day I can't play again. After a couple of days I figure out that I can't turn my pc off or put it to sleep without having to completely re install my driver just to play games. I have also monitored my voltages while under stress and they were stable.

Ok so this is long but I'm really confused as to why this is happening. If I missed an specs or you need more information let me know. Thank you in advance.

I see.

The Hero has 2x PCIe x 16 slots (marked by the red colour) can you try putting your GPU in the second PCIe x 16 slot and see if it works?

Hi there,

Q-codes 94, 96 does indeed sound like your GPU (I'm unsure what AE is trying to say though), considering the fact that the Q-code description tells something about the PCI slot in which your GPU is normally placed in.

Is your GPU seated in properly? With the GPU securing latch on the Hero secured?

First, thank you for answering. It should be seated properly. I took it out a couple of weeks ago to check my sata connections. I put it back in and I remember a little clicking noise.
