Long time lurker, first time poster.I have a new build I completed mid January (here), and I've been getting some power offs, thought maybe someone around these parts could check over my hardware and make sure this isn't perhaps a voltage or heating issue.

My GTX970 can idle anywhere from 30C to 50C depending on whether or not I have EVGA's PrecisionX utility open (the cooler temps are with more aggressive fan settings). I have only experienced these shutdowns when the system is under load (a game is running, sometimes minimized). Event viewer isn't showing anything super strange, and it's a fresh(ish) Win8.1 Enterprise install (legit key, before you ask), which leads me to lean more towards a hardware issue.

So what do you guys think? Is it peaking and drawing too much power? Is my GPU defective? It's behaving like a hard power down (as if I pulled the plug), and I can't really nail it down.

Not sure where I would determine that., I imagine in the BIOS? I noticed PC Part Picker was telling me there may be a voltage issue, but It seemed to be a minor issue at best. I'll poke around in BIOS when I get home tonight and see if I can determine what it's set to and what it should be.
