Hello Tomshardware users,
I've been doing a lot of research on how to build a computer and I pretty much gathered a good amount of knowledge and I'm been researching about CPUs and decided to go with an Intel i5 since it suits my budget but I can't decide on which one to pick.
I won't be overclocking at this moment. ( but if I do which Intel i5k and motherboard could you recommend? ) ( just a side question )
Looking for a CPU that I can use for gaming for WoW WoD, BF4, COD, Starcraft 2 ect and browsing the internet.

Here are the parts

I'd appreciate it if someone can help me with this to finally finish my build and hopefully help me with the specific details.

Best i5 without overclocking.
Best i5 overclockable and which Mobo ( mobo budget $80-$120is )

From what I heard the i4460 and i4590 are great?
If someone can suggest others that is totally fine with me.

Thank you so much

Best regards

If your looking for the ultimate Value gaming setup, then there is a few options but only one stands out in my mind. That would be of a Pentium G3258* and a sub $100 Intel 8 series Chipset MB(H81,B85 ,H87).
Note Asus has all ther 8 and 9 Intel Chipset MB updated.
There is plenty to choose from and you can find a Z97 for cheap enough as well. but for the sake of Bang for Buck , i would use one of these combos.

and one of these should OC fairly well

...the list goes on but i would opt for one that has a nice heatsink over the VRM.

if you go for the i5 then an i 5 2500k is till one of the best quad cores available for gaming. It can OC to 5.0GHz. Mid you on a decent Z68 or Z77 MB.
But for availability you may have to get a refurb. ...So just go with the i5 4590 for Non OC. and either the 4670k or 4690k with a decent Z87 or Z97 MB.

* Note: the Pentium G3258 was about 69.99-74.99 the last time i checked, Here in Canada with our Canadian newegg the price has gone up , maybe because our $ is plummeting ,,.. not entirely sure.

EDIT, The G3258 is only a contender to near any CPU when it is overclocked. So if you get one please oc it. ..p
