Sorry in advance if I posted this in the wrong thread

hey everyone question for you guys. doing my second custom PC build and running into a problem of it not turning on. I made sure everything was plugged in the right spots and that the connection(s) were solid however, when i go to push the power button nothing happens. The fans don't spin no post nothing just dead. Now if i do the PSU paper clip test my cooling fans will spin but when anything else is added like CPU or CD/DVD drive it wont do anything. Any ideas and help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here is my part list

ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX Mother Board

AMD FD8350FRHKBOX FX-8350 FX CPU

Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 290 GPU

16 gigs DDR3 RAM (4 sticks 4gigs each)

WD Blue Desktop Hard Drive 1TB

Asus 24x DVD-RW

Corsair CX Series 750 Watt PSU

Thanks again for the help

and graphics card. (unlike intels, amd's am3 socket cpus dont have a built in graphics)

That's what I want to do. I brought back my 750 yesterday. Went to see if they had a 1k watt but 750 is the biggest they had. I was thinking my PSU was either dead or did not have enough power. If you think the 750 has enough power then I will go to the store in 2 hours and get another 750 and try it again.
